Key Golf Tips to Remember If Your Game Gets Off Track
How many times have you gone to the driving range and hit shot after shot perfectly? “Finally!” you would say to yourself, “I get it…I can’t wait to take play my next round of golf!” You rush home and scribble down a list of key notes for your own “definitive swing” and know if you simple stick to the principles on that list, then you are destined for golf stardom. Soon afterward, you play your next round. Four hours of slices, fat shots, thin shots, hooks and shanks later, you leave the golf course frustrated. During your round, you went through your long list of notes and nothing seemed to work. You say to yourself, “why can’t I take my practice range with me to the course?”
This scenario has happened to all of us, including tour golfers, teaching pros, advanced golfer and novice golfers. However the difference between pro and advanced golfers and novice golfers is that when their golf swing inevitably goes awry, they do not go through a laundry list of golf tips to fix the problem. The golf tips that they do turn to, however, are rather simple set of tried and true golf tips to minimize the damage, relax the body and continue through the round. It is after the round when pro and advanced golfers work on their swing mechanics.
So when you are struggling with your golf game mightily and racking your brain on all the things you can be doing wrong (which results in more confusion and tension and even worse shots), here are a few fundamental golf tips that can really improve your game as you play, even if your golf swing has gotten wildly off track.
GOLF TIP 1: RELAX
You can have the best golf swing in the world, but if you are too uptight and introduce tension into your swing, you are doomed. The majority of errant golf shots are simply the result of tension in the swing. So, when your game is going downhill, take a few deep breaths and relax. To check that you are relaxed, here is quick golf tip. Check your grip. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is “loose” and 10 is “tight,” strive for a 5.
GOLF TIP 2: MAKE SOLID CONTACT WITH THE BALL
If you find you are hitting the ball short, fat, thin, left and right, then on your next shot, relax, take more club, shorten your swing and simply ensure that you are making solid contact with the ball. Don’t worry about the distance of the shot, just re-engage your confidence and the feeling you get when you make solid contact. Do that for a few shots and you will be amazed at how quickly your swing gets back in line.
GOLF TIP 3: RE-ESTABLISH YOUR TEMPO
If you are spraying your shots everywhere, check your tempo. Are you bringing the club back too fast? Did you hurry through your shot? Is your body and weight transfer out of sync? If any of these conditions apply, then what is ailing you is your tempo. So, before your next shot, slow your swing down and take several practice swings, focusing on clipping the grass. Think “Slow Back, Fast Forward” and work on getting your body and swing tempo in sync.
Chances are when you were hitting the golf ball like a tour pro on the range, you were already incorporating the golf tips above into your swing without even knowing it. So, when your swing goes awry on the course, if you remember to relax, ensure solid contact and re-establish your tempo, your golf game will get back on track in a hurry.

If you’re thinking about trying out golf as a sport then you better start digging up beginner golf tips to help you get ready for a fun time on the green. First-timers tend to buy the gears and accessories for golf without even considering that their body needs to be trained first to become good at it.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
1. Golf Exercises
It is not the type of club you use or how powerful your swing is to experience a great game. In truth, the foundation of a seasoned athlete is their core — which is to say, the foundation you built into your body for the sport.
In golf, there are three factors to consider in improving your body for the sport — endurance to endure swings after swings throughout the game, muscle power and stamina, and of course, flexibility of your body for the perfect form to achieve a powerful swing.
Golf exercises mentioned in beginner golf tips you can find for free online talks about improving your stamina and endurance through cardiovascular exercise routines; as well as improving body flexible by rotating your upper body while sitting down.
2. Proper Golf Grip
Beginners should understand that there are two ways to grip your club for the perfect swing. The overlap grip where one hand is on top of the other or interlocking your hands together for a solid grip on your club. Keep in mind that there are no specific rules to follow in the use of these grips during a game of golf — it all depends if you’re comfortable with it for the perfect shot.
3. Learning about Golf Wrist Cock
One of the most important things you need to learn about golf is the wrist cock — it is how you achieve a longer distance between the golf ball and your club by cocking your wrist. Though the theory seems sound, experience from seasoned golfers revealed that this causes too much problems rather than helping you get the extra yards to crave out of your swing.
There are more facts about golf you need to learn to become a seasoned golfer. But paying attention to the points stated in beginner golf tips should give you sufficient idea about golf to guarantee a perfect game out on the green.

New To Golf? Simple Golf Tips To Get You Started
Whether you have just decided to take up golf or have recently started playing, here are some essential but simple golf tips to get started on the right foot.
It is very tempting to jump in and buy a beautiful new set of expensive golf clubs. But don’t. Today’s golf equipment comes in a great variety for different golfing styles and abilities. Since you’re just starting out and really don’t know which type of clubs will suite you best, hold off on that purchase. Golf clubs aren’t cheap. You should expect to spend a few hundred or even thousands of dollars on a set.
If you get a set of clubs that doesn’t suit you, now you’re stuck. You can probably sell them, but at a big loss. If you absolutely MUST have your own clubs, start with a half set. This usually consists of five irons, two woods, and a putter. Get odd numbered irons – 3,5,7,9 – and wedge. This is plenty to get you started.
A better idea is to rent clubs or borrow so you can try out a few different ones. Once you are ready to buy, consider getting slightly used second hand clubs. Most pro shops and driving ranges sell them. They can give you advice and let you try out some different clubs.
You may meet fellow golfers that have their used clubs for sale, too. I again stress that you need know which clubs suit you before you buy. Don’t spend a lot of money at this stage.
You are probably chomping at the bit to playing an actual round of golf. Sorry, but don’t even think about going to a golf course yet. Without having gone through any type of golf training program, you’ll probably get very frustrated. Besides, it’s really not fair for the golfers behind to have to wait for you.
tart at a driving range, take a few lessons, and get the basics under your belt. Then, you can play a 9 hole course. As you improve your golf game, you can work your way up to an 18 hole course.
You can take golf instruction lessons at driving ranges and golf clubs. You don’t have to join a golf club to get a lesson from their golf pro. You can find lots of beginner golf instruction materials online. There are some excellent golf books, DVD’s, and videos on the market that will help you to establish the fundamentals of the simple golf swing: grip, stance and posture.
Here’s an important beginner golf tip – stick to the basics and don’t get blinded by too much technical information. Getting totally confused won’t help your golf game or your enjoyment of the sport, either.
Golf is a fantastic game. Take some time easing into it. You will find it a rewarding pass time, sometimes totally frustrating, and always challenging. Like many others, you may find it downright addictive!

Beginner Golf Tips – How to Learn to Play Golf
As you are starting to play the great game of golf, everybody and their brother will be attempting to give you beginner golf tips. Trust me I mean everyone. This includes the guys that you are playing with that cannot break 100 themselves! They will become David Leadbetter or Butch Harmon in their own mind of all places right there on the golf course.
You will quickly learn that there is a time and a place to work on your game. The golf course is where you should play and not practice. Work through all of your beginner golf tips while you are practicing on the driving range, short game area or practice putting green.
So with everyone throwing all of these free beginner golf tips at you, how do you know what to trust? Well, I can tell you that I do not ask my fellow golfers about legal or accounting advice. Through golf books, golf DVDs and local golf instruction, there are many credible and qualified sources for you to tap.
Here are two beginner golf tips from Brad Myers who teaches at The Massengale Golf Academy in Houston, Texas:
Beginner golf tips: Short Game
Opposed to popular belief and actions, if you want to learn how to play the game of golf or if you have played for a long time and want to lower your handicap, learn how to chip and putt. It may not seem as macho or as sexy to learn all of these little short shots as opposed to standing on the driving range banging out long shots. No matter what your current handicap is, if you want to lower your golf scores learn all aspects of the short game. This will drop your scores faster than standing on a driving range for a long period of time week after week.
Here is a question that may put how important the short game is and can help put it into perspective for you. Once your round is finished, do you want to give your buddy a hard time about the one drive you hit past him/her or do you want to brag about the lower score that you shot? Speaking from experience, the ribbing about how your buddy hit one past you is pretty short-lived as he is paying you for winning the bet of lowest score.
One last thought about the short game for you is to make sure you arrive early enough to spend some time on the putting green putting and chipping before your round. You do not need to spend thirty minutes there. You just need to hit enough putts and chip shots to get a good feeling going prior to your round.
Beginner golf tips: Have fun
Unfortunately, most people will tell you that they play the game for fun or to relax but their actions simply do not say the same thing. Especially while you are learning the game, you should set little goals for your rounds or practice time. Sometimes they are not even to do anything with golf. You simply cannot concentrate for four to five hours straight. Maybe it is to play with certain people to enjoy their company or maybe you try to identify different birds or wildlife. Remember it is to be fun for you!
Using these beginner golf tips will help you reach your playing goals and fun goals!

5 Beginner Golf Tips You Really Need To Know
Golf is one of the greatest games on Earth. It is also one of the hardest games. You would do well to follow these beginner golf tips to ensure that your entry into the golf world isn’t as bad as it could be. Too many people give up before they have really begun because they don’t adopt good habits. To give your game a turbo boost read on. You will be part of the ever growing band of Golfers Anonymous in no time at all.
1) The golf swing is a side action. It is not an up and down action. To understand this fully take a ball and throw it from your side with an underarm technique. This is the type of action you want to develop. Notice that the further you want to throw the ball the more you need to turn your shoulders.
2) A time old classic is to imagine that you are swinging a baseball bat. The main difference is that the club will need to reach the ground at some point so your stance will be different. Practice swinging a golf club as if you had a bat in your hand to train your muscles to understand the technique you are looking for.
3) When setting up to the ball stand with your feet shoulder width apart, bend your knees slightly and bend down from your hips with your back straight. Practise this by sticking your behind out to get the right feel for it. You want your arms to hang in front of your body. Try not to hunch over too much. When it comes to playing for real you don’t want to be too near the golf ball or too far away – this tip will help you get this right.
4) Grip the golf club lightly. Most beginner golf tips miss this out – if you grip too tightly you will not be able to swing with freedom. This will have a very negative impact on your game. Imagine you are holding a tube of toothpaste and you only want to squeeze just enough to get a little paste out. This is what you are looking for.
5) When swinging try to be as smooth and rhythmical as you can. It might feel a little strange at first but the more you swing a club the more comfortable you will get. Try to imagine a big hula hoop surrounding your body at an angle. You want the club to be swinging round your body on this path and it should be accelerating the nearer to the ground it gets. Forget about trying to hit the ball – think more about the fact that the ball is in the way of your club. Too many beginners get caught up with trying to hit at the ball and end up taking the club away from its intended path. This will only end in tears.
The golf swing can get very technical. A lot of beginner golf tips introduce some difficult concepts too early and this results in confusion. Golf is as much a feel and touch game as it is a scientific one. As you become more used to the basics you can start to introduce some more advanced techniques.

Where To Find Free Golf Tips Online
People have been fascinated with mastering the often frustrating game of golf ever since the game was invented back in the 15th century. Since 1750 the game of golf evolved into what we know it as today. Although golf equipment technology and teaching techniques have improved, mastering the game of golf is still as difficult as ever.
Luckily, today we have access to golf tips online with the Internet. Even though I have played golf for over 30 years, I struggled to master the game until a few years ago. With the various golf resources you can search for online, it is now easier to discover the tips that can make a big difference with your game of golf.
There are many excellent paid products, like golf instructional DVD’s, golf swing aids, and even some golf e-books that can help you master the game of golf. But, you can also find some valuable free golf tips online as well. Although you sometimes will find that there are many different techniques – especially regarding the grip and the transition from backswing to downswing.
Just try out the different techniques and see what works for you. The golf swing is a fairly complex movement and there are several styles; from the traditional swing to the newer stack and tilt golf swing. Some online golf tips tell you to grip the club tightly, firmly or even loosely. These terms are quite subjective as to the amount of pressure to use, so just experiment until you find the right grip – I prefer “firmly.”
When looking for golf tips online, take into account that there is more to golf than just learning the golf swing. Look for resources that show you the most comprehensive golf tips online. One of the most important areas of golf, that is often ignored, is the mental game of golf. You want free golf tips? First, learn to dominate your inner game of golf.
It is important to know what the right golf equipment is for your type of game (golf clubs and balls.) If you are a novice, look for clubs that are matched for the beginner golfer as they are more forgiving to miss-hits. Buy a driver and fairway woods with a graphite shaft, large titanium head, and perimeter weighting. For the irons, select iron shafts for accuracy, more sole weighting, and wider soles for easier playability. For high handicap golfers or beginners, play a two-piece, firm feel, mid spin golf ball.
Look for golf tips online that cover the whole aspect of golf. Things you need to learn include the grip; setup and stance; backswing, transition, and downswing; driving, fairway shots, chipping, putting, and bunker shots; course management; how to fix problems like the slice, hook, and pull shot; and the different trouble shots you will face – deep rough, hill lies, playing into the wind, etc.
Of course, you can pay a professional golf instructor to learn all these things, but you will end up paying a fortune for dozens of lessons. I would recommend starting out to learn as much as possible with free online golf tips. You could then take a few one-on-one golf lessons and then go to the driving range to practice. Finally, get out on the golf course and play a round of golf – and remember, to master the game of golf, you need to practice – and have fun!

9 Golf Tips For Every Part of Your Game
Are you looking for golf tips for every part of your golf game? If so, then you are in the right place. We are going to give you 3 golf tips on how to hit better drives, 3 golf tips on how to hit better irons and 3 golf tips on how to hit better chip shots.
3 Golf Tips on How to Hit Better Drives
Everyone is in love with the fact of trying to get as much distance as they can from their driver. Some players are even obsessed to the point, it hurts their scores. A test with tour players was done years ago on this subject. They had them hit their drive. If it was in the fairway, fine. If it was in the rough, they had them play that ball. In addition, they put in play another ball that was in the fairway but thirty yards behind their tee shot in the rough. Believe it or not, these players scored better from the fairway thirty yards behind the original ball in the rough! That proves how important hitting it in the fairway is for all of us. Here is how you can hit better drives:
1. Make sure your ball position is correct. Many amateurs play their driver to far forward in their stance in an attempt to help the ball in the air.
2. Use a full swing but only swing 80%. This means if a full swing is normally 100mph then you are looking to stay in balance and swing at 80mph.
3. Make sure that you have the correct shaft in your driver. Many players have pre-conceived ideas that they need to hit a certain flex shaft. I would make my decision more strictly based on the ball flight.
3 Golf Tips on How to Hit Better Irons
Many players do not believe that they can improve their iron play by slowing down and making sure they have the proper club in their hand. Remember the closer that you are able to hit your irons the shorter your putts will be and then you will look like a better putter! Improve how you hit your irons with these 3 tips:
1. As simple as it sounds most players do not know the average distance that they hit each golf club. The key word here is average. How long you hit your seven-iron one time (downhill and downwind) simply does not matter. I would rather brag about the low score I shot after the round than the long seven-iron that I hit on the eighth hole!
2. Take the time while you are on the golf course to find the yardage to the front and back of the green as well as the distance to the hole.
3. Choose the club that allows you to make a full swing. This takes away many variables that can go wrong during your swing.
3 Golf Tips on How to Improve Your Chip Shots
Improving your short game and your chip shots is the quickest way to lower your scores behind improving your putting. Many players do not practice it as much because it is not as glamorous as trying to bang out the long drives. Even the best players miss greens so if you cannot chip the ball around the green, you will not be able to ever score very well. The short game of golf is where you really need to practice, so check out the following 3 tips:
1. Any time that you can hit a low shit that runs the ball up to the hole as opposed to flying it all of the way there, do it. This gives you more room for error and percentage-wise you will get you closer to the hole for the next shot, unless you make the chip shot! Do not be scared to use an eight, seven or even a five iron to get the distance that you need.3
2. Hold your finish until the ball has stopped rolling. Use this time to monitor your balance and evaluate the shot.
3. Know without a doubt where you would like the ball to land. If you claim to have trouble visualizing shots then explain where you want to land it out loud. This will accomplish the same thing.
Implement these golf tips into your game and you will see your scores go down and you will have something to talk about in the locker room!
